DC Power Specifications

In addition to the installation steps described in “Connecting a Power Supply to the Chassis” on page 3-13

and “Rack Mounting Power Supplies” on page 3-15 DC power supplies have the following additional

considerations:

• Connect to a -48V reliably grounded DC SELV source.

• Use common DC return connections for the DC power supplies. The DC return terminal conductor

should be connected to the equipment frame.

• The Branch Circuit Overcurrent Protection must be rated a Maximum of 15A.

• Use 12AWG solid conductors only.

• A readily accessible disconnect device that is suitably approved and rated shall be incorporated in the

field wiring.
